SYNNERGy™ Rx LOW Friction Compounds
Synnergy™ Rx compounds are custom-formulated using a proprietary blend of lubricious additives to significantly reduce the coefficient of friction of natural resins, including Polyether Block Amide (PEBA) and Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU). As a safe and durable alternative to PTFE, Synnergy™ formulations can be customized using colorants and other performance-enhancing additives for medical device applications, including interventional and diagnostic catheters, medical tubing and medical component parts. Synnergy™ Rx formulations have passed USP Class VI testing for biocompatibility.
WHITe room manufacturing
Peak is proud to offer medical material manufacturing in a dedicated white room environment. Our 1,000 square foot white room is climate controlled and equipped with a 32mm co-rotating twin-screw extruder, which is dedicated to medical material processing.
This medical compounding line offers multiple feeders for dispersion of highly filled materials and is suited to process commodity resins (including PE, PP, PS and ABS), engineering polymers (including PEBA, PA, 11/12, and PC) and high-temperature materials (including PEEK, PAEK, PEKK, PSU, and PEI).
market Applications
- Class I medical devices & components (i.e. medical equipment, dressings, luers, locks, connectors, tubing)
- Class II medical devices & minimally invasive components (i.e. catheters, syringes, sheaths, surgical instruments)
- Injection molding
- Extrusion (tube & sheet/film)
The peak difference
Our team is equipped to support medical device manufacturers throughout every stage of the product life cycle, from research & development to production. Our quality management systems are registered to ISO 9001: 2015 and ISO 13485 : 2016, with white room manufacturing available.
We understand the unique requirements of the medical device industry from speciality lot sizes (development samples, scale-up) to regulatory compliance and qualification. We look forward to supporting your medical material needs!
